Learning Support Services Coordinator (Secondary)
Abbotsford Christian School is accepting applications for a part-time learning support services (LSS) coordinator at the secondary.
This LSS Coordinator would join a collaborative team that is responsible for all aspects of the LSS department. This includes coordinating for students and learning support in the inclusive education program, supervising educational assistants and their workload, and communicating with parents and staff; all in keeping with the mission and vision of ACS. The coordinator would report directly to the campus principal and work closely with the Director of Learning Support Services.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate evidence of a deep and disciplined understanding of the Christian worldview
- Establish positive working relationships with school staff, community partners, families, and children.
- Have the ability to build report with students
- Have a reputation for being an excellent educator and model servant leadership
- Have experience with project-based learning or Deeper Learning pedagogies
- Demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment in a progressive and creative school
- Be able to work professionally and confidently with the ability to adapt to situations as needs arise
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn
Education Requirements
- Teacher Certification within BC with at least two years of successful teaching experience
- Clear understanding of Christian Education
- Experience or training in Inclusive Education or related field
- Inclusive education and coordinator leadership experience preferred
