Choir Accompanist
West Side Christian School is seeking a part time choir accompanist for our school. This is a part time position 5-7 hrs per week.
West Side Christian School is seeking a part time choir accompanist. This person would work closely with our music teacher and students during choir classes as well as help with music during chapels and singing times. The ideal candidate should demonstrate their love for God and a passion for teaching students the Word of God as well as be knowledgeable with music and proficient at playing the piano and keyboard.
Job Requirements
- Support the choir classes for 5 class periods over 2 days. There could be additional rehearsal time as needed before performances.
- Enjoy working with middle school students.
- Have a heart for Jesus.
- Be reliable and dependable in job attendance and performance.
- Be proficient on the piano/keyboard.
- Accompany all three middle school choirs during rehearsals and performances.
- Lead sectionals as needed
- Accompany for assemblies, chapels, and elementary singing as needed.
- Assist with upkeep and maintenance of the choral music library.
- Additional hours may be available to aide in other areas/classrooms.
- Support the mission and vision of the school.
- Exhibits a growth mindset in learning, teaching, and faith development.
