Educational Support Services (ESS) Private Tutor
The ESS private tutor provides responsive instructional support for students under the direction of the Educational Support Services coordinator.
- Provide personalized support to struggling students
- Provide direct communication to families regarding student progress and needs
- Assist students with developing organization and self-advocacy skills
- Support and reteach essential learnings of courses and help students prepare for assessments
- Be a student advocate; get to know students well, promote a growth mindset, use positive language and tone, and maintain high expectations for all students
- Collaborate with ESS staff and classroom teachers to provide accommodations for students according to their individualized learning plans
Job Requirements
- Commitment to Christian education
- Strong interest/background in mathematics
- Experience with struggling students
- Works well with colleagues
- Passion to work with a diverse student population from a Christian perspective
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer and organizational skills
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Teacher certification preferred
