Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th Grade Teacher to join our Christian school community. As a teacher in our institution, you will have the unique opportunity to integrate Christian values and teachings into the curriculum, fostering spiritual growth alongside academic development. Responsibilities

Curriculum Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with both state standards and Christian principles.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Integrate biblical teachings and values into daily instruction across all subjects.

Classroom Management:

  • Establish clear expectations for behavior and academic performance, ensuring a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to address any behavioral issues promptly and constructively.
  • Foster a sense of community and teamwork among students, encouraging collaboration and mutual respect.

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Assess student progress regularly through a variety of assessment methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and observations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student grades and progress, adhering to school policies and procedures.

Individualized Instruction:

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special learning needs or gifted abilities.
  • Provide additional support or enrichment activities as needed to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Foster a love of learning by encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity in the classroom.

Parent and Community Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress, achievements, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with parents and school administrators to address student needs and support academic and spiritual growth.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and other community activities to build strong relationships with families and stakeholders.

Professional Development:

  • Stay current with educational trends, research, and best practices in both pedagogy and Christian education.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and conferences to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Actively contribute to the school community through collaboration with colleagues, participation in committees, and engagement in school improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification/license.
  • Prior experience teaching in a Christian school or familiarity with Christian education principles and values.
  • Strong understanding of 4th-grade curriculum standards and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment grounded in Christian faith and values.
  • Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to inspire and empower students to reach their full potential academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

Education Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification/license in Washington State.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered for qualified candidates
