CSI is pleased and excited to announce the addition of Jim Peterson to the position of director of operations and membership starting September 1, 2023. Jim believes that Christian education shapes children and communities toward their God-given talents, and in doing so maximizes the quality of life for all people in the community. He sees that CSI can play a crucial role in helping teachers, administrators, and boards fulfill their important roles in their communities. Jim has played several roles in CSI schools: summer maintenance, science and math teacher, technology coordinator, director of instruction, and head of school. Since 1986 he has worked at Christian schools, including Sylvan Christian, Holland Christian High School, and South Christian High School. In 2022 Jim became a stay-at-home dad, fitting implementing Teaching for Transformation and this new role into his schedule. Rebecca, Jim’s wife, is a palliative care provider for Trinity Health Grand Rapids. They have four children at three different Christian schools and one grandson.
Jim looks forward to the part-time role of director of operations and membership for CSI. His responsibilities will include overseeing sales/curriculum, new school memberships, coordinating with consultative services, visiting schools in the Great Lakes area, and technology development for CSI. Jim’s experience in strategic planning and professional learning programs will be an asset for CSI.
