Number of Schools Participating in CSI Accreditation Climbs to 155

We are pleased to share with you that the Christian Schools International Accreditation Commission recently renewed and approved the accreditation status of 130 CSI member schools. On July 6, 2023, members of the CSI Accreditation Commission and members of the CSI Accreditation team met to review the 2022–2023 site visit reports and annual reporting of 130 CSI member schools. Five schools earned CSI Accreditation for the first time. In addition, twenty-five CSI member schools were granted accreditation candidacy.

The Increasing Diversity of Schools Accredited by CSI

It is a powerful experience to provide accreditation services to such a diverse group of CSI schools, all of whom are working toward a goal of continuously improving their schools and seeking excellence in order to glorify God and build his Kingdom. CSI Accreditation is blessed and humbled at the capability of our accreditation process to serve 155 CSI member schools that are located in many states, utilize a wide variety of pedagogical designs, and differ in size, makeup of grades and student populations, and in the number of years they have been established.

CSI Accreditation serves schools of traditional, classical, Charlotte Mason, University-Model®, multi-age, international student, outdoor education, residential programming, and other models. Our schools offer all combinations of grades from infant care through high school. We serve schools across the United States from as far north as Lynden, WA and as far south as Port Charlotte, FL.

The CSI Accreditation process can support schools of any age or size. Our current accredited and candidate school list includes schools that were founded back in 1880 and also those who will welcome their first cohort of students in the 2023–2024 school year. The enrollment of our accredited schools ranges from 9 students to 1,550 students.

In addition, CSI Accreditation offers dual accreditation for schools with the Association of Christian Schools International, Cognia, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Our accredited and candidate schools represent rural, inner-city, indigenous, and international communities. We have schools located near the cornfields in Iowa, in the downtowns of Washington DC and Philadelphia, PA, in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, and overlooking the ocean in Florida.

Despite all the aspects that make CSI accredited schools unique, each school is striving to be true to its mission. The CSI Accreditation team truly celebrates the work we are blessed to do in partnering with schools to think more comprehensively and systematically in their assessments of how their school communities are living out their missions each day. In a world that seems hyper-focused on all that divides, CSI accredited schools embody the experience of being unified for a unique mission in building God’s Kingdom here on earth, and that will always be something to celebrate.
