4th Grade Classroom Teacher w/ Outdoor Education Integration
Muskegon Christian School is seeking a full-time 4th Grade Teacher for the school year 2024-25. MCS is a Preschool through 6th grade Christian School established in 1882 in Muskegon, Michigan. The mission of MCS is to equip minds and hearts to love, learn and lead for Christ. The school has a current K-6 full-time enrollment of 250 students and an additional 55 PS students. Our staff consists of a total of 36 individuals, including 16 full-time teachers in both Spanish Immersion and traditional English language classrooms. The average classroom size is 18 students. MCS has the unique opportunity to serve a wide variety of God’s children. The student population is economically, ethnically, culturally, and denominationally diverse.

Job Requirements
- Has a living relationship with Christ and active member of a church
- Ability and desire to lead a Christ-centered classroom
- Teach a self-contained class of 2nd grade students from a variety of backgrounds
- Follow the curriculum mapping to plan hands-on engaging units and lessons
- Integrate outdoor education learning in core academic subjects in conjunction with the Outdoor Education Coordinator
- Engage in the Teaching for Transformation framework to see all subject matters through a Biblical worldview

BA in Education and state of Michigan teaching certificate
