February 1-3, 700 Christian school educators from around the world gathered in Orlando, Florida, for the Global Christian School Leadership Summit. The event, sponsored by CSI, ACSI, and six additional Christian school organizations, drew participants from across North America as well as from 23 countries including Indonesia, Australia, Colombia, the Caribbean, and Nigeria.

About 100 of the registrants came from CSI member schools. “Through CSI’s relationship with Zondervan Publishing, we were able to provide Lee Strobel, author of A Case of Christ and other books, as a keynoter,” said Jeff Blamer, CSI’s vice president of member services and a member of the summit’s planning team. “Lee spoke on ‘A Case for Christian Education,’ which we hope will someday become a book, too.”

In addition to keynotes by Strobel, author David Kinnaman of Barna, ACSI president Dan Egeler, and William Brown of the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, participants attended a variety of breakout sessions on a range of topics including diversity, legal issues, leadership cultivation, and Christian worldview.

Plans are in the works for the next collaborative summit, slated for 2019.
