Job Description

The Deer Creek Christian School (DCCS) Principal is the chief administrative officer of the organization and has responsibility for the administrative, teaching and support staff. The Principal is also expected to provide both strategic and operational leadership to the school. The Principal will identify, resource, and lead the continued advancement of the school in areas of curriculum development, enrollment, teacher and organizational development, and community relations. The Principal should be a highly skilled operational leader and highly effective communicator. In collaboration with the School Board, the Principal is expected to provide leadership to our long-term vision.

• Committed to Deer Creek Christian School’s values

• Master’s Degree in education preferred

• 3-5 years of educational leadership experience and valid teaching license, preferred

• Spiritual maturity, professional ability, and personal leadership qualities to biblically lead an administrative team and teaching staff

• Demonstrated experience and commitment to building and supporting a multi-cultural community

• Highly Effective Operational Skills and a demonstrated ability to get things done

• Self-motivated and ability to motivate direct reports

• Willingness to commit to a multi-year relationship


• Serve as the leader of the administrative team which develops and implements the entire school educational program and operations in accordance with policies set by the Board of Directors

• Identify and hire teachers, staff and administration who fit the vision, mission and values of DCCS

• Promote mission and vision to external community to raise awareness, funds, and grow enrollment

• Implement Biblically integrated curriculum across all areas of the school

• Address the specific areas referenced in the focus section above

• Foster a safe and healthy environment conducive to learning
