High School Math/Calculus Teacher
The High School Mathematics teacher will serve as a core member of the High School staff committed to implementing Hillcrest curriculum.
Hillcrest School seeks professionals who are strongly committed Christians. Applicants should hold at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree, teaching certificate, speak and write English fluently, have experience working within the US or Canadian educational systems and demonstrate enthusiasm for residing in a cross-cultural environment.
Additional preferred skills and experience include international schools teaching, curriculum and assessment development, ability to stimulate critical thinking and inquiry within a classroom environment, effective communication with students and parents, along with proven ability to collaborate with colleagues.
The teaching and senior administrative staff of Hillcrest School are required to indicate their personal commitment to Christ, their Church membership, and their willingness to affirm and not teach anything contrary to the Hillcrest Doctrinal stance along with Hillcrest Mission and Vision Statements. These requirements can be indicated in writing at the initial stage of application to work at Hillcrest, and thereafter annually.
Terms are ordinarily for two academic years.
Applicants shall consider employment at Hillcrest as a calling to live and teach as Christians in another culture, serving as a part of a broader Christian Mission community educating global disciples for Christ.
Hillcrest will pay for travel for staff, spouse and up to two children from the staff’s home country at the beginning of each two year contract term, and at the completion of each two year term.
Annual compensation is modest by Western Standard, but many benefits are included.
Basically furnished housing is provided on campus. Up to two of a staff’s children may attend Hillcrest free of charge once they have successfully completed our admissions process.
