Secondary Science Teacher
Teach secondary students in areas such as biology, chemistry and physics in support of a STEM program.
SCS seeks an experienced science teacher to help build a STEM program that can serve as an example and resource in a country that ranks 133 out of 137 in math and science education (World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Report, 2017-2018). Candidates are native English speakers with an understanding of English as a Second Language immersion strategies in the classroom and must have an education degree with a U.S. state teacher license. They must display evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment. Successful candidates can implement Next Generation Science Standards with hands-on inquiry-based labs and activities in areas such as biology, chemistry, and physics. The science teacher will support the goal of igniting students’ passion for discovery, critical thinking, and engaging the world through science as a reflection of its Creator.
