CSI Accreditation Now Approved in Texas

CSI is pleased to announce our partnership with the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC).

Christian schools in the state of Texas will now have the opportunity to benefit from CSI Accreditation. CSI Accreditation is pleased to announce its membership in TEPSAC.

CSI Membership in TEPSAC

CSI Accreditation is appreciative of our new membership in TEPSAC and we look forward to serving schools in the Lone Star State. On April 21st, 2021 CSI Accreditation was invited by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC) to join its membership and become an approved private school accrediting organization in the state of Texas. Established in 1986 through an agreement with the State Commissioner of Education, TEPSAC formed a confederation of associations whose primary purpose is to maintain private school accreditation standards in Texas. The Commission approves and monitors the organizations that accredit nonpublic elementary and secondary institutions in order to ensure the quality of education in Texas private schools.

CSI Accreditation was approved for TEPSAC membership after a process of rigorous review of our application, accreditation standards, and accreditation procedures. In addition, a TEPSAC representative participated in a multi-day formal observation of a CSI Accreditation school site visit in order to verify our compliance with required criteria and standards. These standards of accreditation are comparable to Texas Education Agency standards and serve to preserve the integrity of the member organizations and the schools they accredit.

State Recognition of CSI

With the addition of schools in Texas, CSI Accreditation now serves schools in twenty-nine states and Washington, DC. As is the case with our TEPSAC membership, CSI’s approval, recognition, and partnership with numerous states, state-based associations, and independent school organizations is highly valued by many of our schools for accreditation, grant, scholarship, and voucher purposes. Our accreditation team works hard to ensure that we maintain compliancy, communication, and relationship with these states and organizations so that our CSI-accredited schools can continue to benefit fully from these partnerships.

CSI Dual Accreditation

CSI Accreditation is also committed to continuing our seamless partnership with regional accrediting organizations. By way of formal agreements with Cognia (formerly AdvancED), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and Middle State Association (MSA), CSI is able to provide dual accreditations for our schools who choose this option. CSI takes the lead in these joint accreditations so that our schools can receive all the advantages of dual accreditation while still working within an accreditation process that is grounded in a distinctively Christian worldview and understands the unique mission and facets of Christian schools. Currently, almost half of our CSI accredited schools are dually accredited.

Please join us in celebrating CSI’s partnerships with TEPSAC and other organizations who benefit CSI accredited schools. If you have any questions or are interested in pursuing dual accreditation, please contact , director of accreditation.
