On the afternoons of July 14 and 15, 2020, six members of the CSI Accreditation Commission and two members of our Accreditation team met together over Zoom to renew and initially approve the accreditation status of 116 CSI member schools. In addition, there are currently eighteen schools who have been granted accreditation candidacy status. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fourteen schools had to delay their accreditation site visits which had been scheduled for the spring semester. We are so excited and thankful to God that the number of schools accredited through Christian Schools International continues to grow, with 134 schools currently accredited or in the process of doing so.

The CSI accreditation process, which is firmly grounded in a reformed transformational worldview, is focused on a continual school improvement process, allowing CSI to support schools in their journeys toward excellence in implementing their Christian missions.

“The Commission members and our team were so impressed with the amount of evidence provided by the schools of their continued work in addressing their school improvement goals even in the midst of the challenging circumstances of this past spring,” expressed Sheryl Jo, CSI director of accreditation. “It was such a blessing to see the creativity, organization, and dedication of staff and administration who worked together so diligently to effectively serve students and their families. As difficult as it was, the ability to encourage Christian community and maintain high academic standards during a time of campus closures and distance learning also became an opportunity for CSI schools to shine.”
