Benefits to School Board and Staff

Accreditation: Members schools have the opportunity to earn internationally recognized accreditation leading to a school improvement plan. CSI is a full member of the National Council for Private School Accreditation.

Advice and Consultation: Experienced CSI professionals are only a toll-free phone call away. We respond to questions about school policies, buildings, hiring, insurance, fundraising, or legal issues. We can also connect you with other Christian schools that have faced similar problems.

Personal Visits: CSI professionals can visit schools to assist with strategic planning, program analysis, mediation, and more. Our representatives will also show you how to make the most of our textbooks and curricula.

Testing CSI offers scoring services for the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills, enabling schools to compare their scores with those of other Christian schools.

Employee Benefits Program: CSI members can participate in a full range of employee benefits, including life and health insurance and pension plans.

Annual School Leadership Convention: CSI’s summer convention offers keynote speakers with a vision for Christian education, sectional leaders who have expertise in school administration, and opportunities to network with other administrators.

Speakers and Workshop Leaders: CSI can provide or suggest qualified speakers for board training, staff inservice sessions, workshops, or parent meetings.

Leadership Materials: CSI publishes a variety of materials that explain a philosophy of Christian education. Our board and administrator resources include leadership training materials and videos for school boards along with books on topics such as staff evaluation and teacher policies. We publish an annual compensation report with statistical data to help school leaders create a fair compensation package.

Teacher Resources: CSI publishes useful books and guides for teachers as well as report cards, record books, and contracts.

Placement Services: Member schools can use CSI’s free job placement service to find and hire teachers and administrators.

Administrator Training and Certification: CSI provides training for future, new, and current Christian school administrators.

Publications: All teachers in member schools receive a free subscription to Christian School Teacher. Free newsletters are sent to administrators and board members.

Promotions: CSI publishes brochures and bulletin covers/inserts that promote and explain Christian education.

Discounts: Member schools receive a 20 percent discount on distinctively Christian textbooks and other CSI publications at the CSI online store.

Free Magazine Subscription: CSI provides all member school parents with a free subscription to Christian Home & School, our award-winning magazine for parents.

Effective Teachers and Administrators: With CSI’s support, Christian school teachers and administrators strengthen their skills and work effectively with parents and students.
