An Evening at the St. Louis Zoo
3:00pm-6:30pm Wednesday, July 30, 2008
If it prowls, slithers, hops, flies, swims or crawls, you’re sure to find it at the St. Louis Zoo. With more than 11,000 animals and insects it’s no wonder the St. Louis Zoo is recognized as one of the nations finest. For only $16 for adults and free for children under 12, your family will receive dinner, entertainment, and special entrance into the sea lion show, the new insectarium, and the children’s zoo where kids can pet the animals.
Refuge of Nation’s “Koroga Bonga” Picnic
6:00pm-9:00pm Thursday, July 30, 2008
Koroga Bonga means “to talk as we stir food at it cooks” in Swahili, and that describes our picnics well. We provide the meat and buns, everyone else brings what they can (fruit, beverages, desserts, salads). We spend time relaxing together as various volunteer groups play games with the children. One immigrant or refuge family will be assigned to each table to briefly share a bit of their story with our special guests. Limited transportation is provided.
The Muny
6:00pm-10:00pm Thursday, July 31, 2008
The Muny is known world wide as America’s oldest and largest outdoor musical theatre. It seats over 13,000 people with 1,500 free seats. Join CSI for a night of dinner and family entertainment at The Muny.
Ticket price includes: complimentary backstage tours, delicious buffet dinners available at our on-site restaurant (The Culver Pavilion), Bandfest entertainment every evening at 6:30pm, and Muny Link Shuttle at the Forest Park Metrolink Station.
