Magnificent Mile
Magnificent Mile is the name given to the stretch along Michigan Avenue from the Chicago River to Oak Street. The Magnificent Mile offers over 3.1 million square feet of retail space, 460 stores, 275 restaurants, 51 hotels, 2 unique museums and a variety of sightseeing and entertainment attractions to more than 22 million visitors each year. Millennium Park
First planned in 1997 as a way to create new parkland in Grant Park and transform unsightly railroad tracks and parking lots, Millennium Park has evolved into the most significant millennium project in the world. And the reviews are already in. “Millennium Park,” says one prominent civic leader, “will be a worthy creation for all time. It will define Chicago to the entire world as America’s greatest city.”

Millennium Park is located in the heart of downtown Chicago. It is bordered by Michigan Avenue to the west, Columbus Drive to the east, Randolph Street to the North and Monroe Street to the South.

The park is open daily from 6am – 11pm. Admission is always free. For more information on Millennium Park, visit www.millenniumpark.org.

Navy Pier
Located on Lake Michigan, just East of Chicago’s Downtown, Navy Pier has been a Chicago landmark since it first opened in 1916. Navy Pier showcases a unique collection of restaurants and shops in addition to unequaled recreational and exhibition facilities.

The Family Pavilion is anchored by the 50,000-square-foot Chicago Children’s Museum and Navy Pier’s 440-seat IMAX Theater. It is also home to 40,000 square feet of exciting restaurants and retail shops. The South Arcade is home to numerous shops, restaurants, and attractions, including Transporter FX, Amazing Chicago, and Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Navy Pier Park is an outdoor landscaped area which features attractions such as a permanent 150-foot-high Ferris wheel, a musical carousel, an old-fashioned swing ride and an 18-hole miniature golf course. Dock Street runs the length of the Pier’s South Dock and is reserved for pedestrians, bicyclists and joggers. Chicago’s dinner cruise ships continue to operate from Dock Street.
