Sheryl Jo selected as new program director for school improvement and leadership development at CSI.

Sheryl Jo headshotSheryl Jo has been selected as the new program director for school improvement and leadership development for Christian Schools International.

Jo has served in the Grand Rapids (Michigan) Christian Schools for the past 27 years, most recently serving as the director of student support services. In that capacity, she led the development and implementation of professional learning teams and brought together the ESS and inclusion programs and staff.

Jo will begin her work at CSI in July. Her primary role will be responsibility for the CSI school improvement and accreditation program, which has grown over the past five years from 50 to 120 schools. In coordination with Jeff Blamer, vice president of member services, she will also take on some leadership development responsibilities.

Bob VanWieren, CSI’s current accreditation program director, will work alongside Jo for several months in order to facilitate the transition, and he will continue his work at CSI by developing the next generation of CSI’s accreditation tool and serving as chair of site visit teams.
