Mission Statement
We advance Christian education and support schools in their task of teaching students to know God and His world and to glorify Him through obedient service.
CSI’s Principles for Christian Education
The basis of Christian Schools International is the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, the infallible Word of God, as explained in the Reformed creeds. On this basis, we affirm the following principles for Christian education:
The Bible
Through the Bible God reveals himself to us so we can understand him, ourselves, others, and the world. The Bible directs us in our relationships and activities, guiding us as we educate our children.
Created, Restored, and Governed
Children learn that the world and our place in it is shaped by the Triune God who has created, restored, and governs this world to build His kingdom and glorify His name.
Sin
Sin drove a wedge between us and our Creator, our neighbors, and the world. It distorts life. It misdirects human culture. It corrupts efforts to educate our children.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, our Savior, Redeemer, Light, and Way, renews our educational efforts. Through Him and His Spirit we are guided in truth and recommitted to our calling.
Christian Schools
Christian schools educate our children in a way that reveals who God is and helps them discover their call of obedience to Him. They must know God’s Word, fully consecrate their lives to God, love all people, and be stewards who seek to transform human culture into one that praises God, not humankind.
Parents
Parents have primary responsibility for education of their children, an expression of the covenantal relationship between God, us, and our children.
Christian Teachers
In obedience to God and in cooperation with parents, Christian teachers have unique responsibility to help all children learn as well, and as much, as they can.
Pupil
God’s image is in each pupil. Each has unique abilities, needs, and sinful inadequacies. Whatever we do, we must help them live in obedient response to God.
Christian Community
God’s covenant embraces parents, children, and the Christian community. Christian education must build and advance the community. It in turn must help maintain Christian schools by praying for them, working for them, and providing financial support.
Freedom to Educate
Christian schools meet legitimate legal standards and should have freedom to educate according to these principles.

“CSI is excited to strengthen and encourage Christian education.”
